Who are you?
Jeroen Geerts, 22-07-1988
Working on different projects. Started on high school with the rental of inflatable party equipment and beamers (currently 5 pickup locations operational). After importing inflatables to rent out, a start was made with the business of selling promotional inflatables to companies like Coca-Cola and Verkade. A year later a project of selling imported touchscreen information kiosks was begun, mainly to (semi) governments; Algemene Rekenkamer, Nationale Ombudsman and several municipalities. In order to reach a more distinctive design from 2014 on these kiosks were designed and made in the Netherlands.
The latest project I’m working on is Trusted Drivers Network (TDN), a platform facilitating cooperation between logistics providers in Europe by sharing data on a higher level compared with currently available alternatives.
After half a year of studying Applied Physics I found out that my heart belongs somewhere else and I switched to Industrial Engineering & Management Science, with a master in Operations Management & Logistics.
As a child I was inspired by my uncle, who has his own company and taught me that being an entrepreneur doesn’t feel like working, it feels like performing your hobby. When I was flying through China to visit manufacturers for my business I was reading Richard Branson’s biography and was inspired even more; this is what I’ve been made for.
I consider myself successful when I don’t have to worry about money and fill my days the way I like.
